The online help desk is open from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday. You can expect a rapid response time to any problems you submit through the help desk on the weekends. The help desk portal is the preferred method of contact but in the rare cases where you find yourself without internet connectivity or have log in issues, you can reach a technician immediately by dialing 605.995.7444.

Account Information

To activate your Google account a password change is required.  It may take up to 15 minutes to activate your Google account after the password change.  To change your password please use the guide found in this section.  A password change will change your password for all other services (MyMTI, E-Mail, etc).

E-Mail Access and Other Services

Alumni web mail access will be maintained after graduation.  Smartphone, Outlook, and Active Sync access will be disabled after graduation.  If the account is inactive for six months the account will be removed from our system.

If files or other information have been uploaded to Google Drive, YouTube, or other MTI cloud based services the files will be deleted.  If you would like to preserve these files, please move them to another location outside of your MTI account.

Microsoft Office
Office Professional 2016 (.exe, 3112K)

Download and install this file to access Microsoft Office Professional 2016.  An MTI account is required to receive office and is licensed for 5 installs.  If you have trouble with this download or installation please submit a help desk ticket.  This will download the entire Microsoft Office Professional 2016 suite and will take time and bandwidth to complete.  When asked to log in please provide your Mitchell Technical Institute e-mail address and password.  Microsoft Office Professional 2016 is available to all students, staff, and faculty free of charge while attending or employed by MTI.  Microsoft Office will deactivate upon graduation for students or discontinued employment for staff or faculty.

Skype for Business
Skype for Business 2016 - Standalone (.exe, 3112K)

The standalone installer for Skype for Business 2016.  This will only install Skype for Business and should only be installed if the personal version of office installed does not include Skype for Business.  MTI includes Skype for Business with the installation available on MyMTI.

Drafting Lab
Drafting Lab - USB Dock (.exe, 37003K)

Driver software for the drafting lab docking stations. Only necessary if you are in the ADBC program.

Printing Software
Printing Software (.exe, 28724K)

The SafeQ Printing software is required to print at Mitchell Technical Institute.  If you have difficulty installing the printer software please stop by the help desk or submit a help desk ticket.

 

To print in color follow these steps.

 

Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right click SafeQ > Printer Properties > Device Settings > Scroll to the bottom and change Device Type from Automatic to Color > Click OK.

 

Printing from mobile devices is supported.  To print from a mobile device follow these steps. (Requires that your MTI e-mail address is setup on the device - print jobs are not accepted from non-MTI e-mail addresses)

 

1.  Attach the document to be printed to your MTI e-mail.

2.  E-mail print@mitchelltech.edu

3.  An e-mail confirmation will be sent back, confirming the print job has been received.

4.  Use any SafeQ station to receive the print job. 

 

Printers can be found in all buildings, color printing is available in the Technology Center and in the Campus Center - Student Success Center.
